We are Mark and Beth Haskell. Welcome to the blog where we document some of our adventures for family and friends. Trying to be self-sufficient, we also share our experiences with repair, maintenance, and upgrades.
Note: We’re moving from Blogger www.svIntuition.com to this WordPress site at www.rvIntuition.com, so please bear with me as I learn the new platform. Videos have not yet been loaded from the old site. Scroll down and leave a comment on what you like, or how we could improve the site.
Why do we Blog?
Back in 2006, we set out on a year long sailing trip when our son was seven. Posting daily blog entries assured his grandparents that he was safe every night. Our boat was an Island Packet 35 named Intuition. Boats are referred to as Sailing Vessels (SV) or Motor Vessels (MV), thus our blog was named svIntuition. We chose the Blogger platform because it allowed us to post using email transmitted via amateur (Ham) radio from remote islands. The sailing trip was a wonderful one year sabbatical from work.
After another seven years of corporate life, we retired and decided to explore places we hadn’t visited by boat. Finding a very lightly used Pleasure-Way Plateau TS while on vacation in Florida, we started a new set of adventures. It is based on the Mercedes Sprinter 3500 van and converted by Pleasure-Way in Saskatoon.
Loving photography and wanting to share our stories with family members, we started posting again.
Four years and 40K miles later we decided we enjoyed exploring in a camper van enough to order a new Pleasure-Way Lexor TS based on the Ram ProMaster 3500 with new options to make traveling easier.
The Lexor turned 7 this year and is still serving us well. We learn a little more every day and try and share our experiences with other Lexor and ProMaster based van travelers.

How to Use this Site
You can access over 660 historical posts by clicking on the three bars in the upper right corner of the screen and the down arrow beside “Older Blog Posts.”
Travel entries start from our log book. You will see the Date, Time, Odometer Mileage, Temperature, and sometimes the elevation like this:
0824 70,434 47°F Blythe Island, GA 13′
That way you know how far apart places are and how long it takes us to travel a route. I then fill in with photos and highlights of the places that might interest others. There are often links (underlined) to outside websites for more details on a subject or area.
Here’s a map of all the places we have camped overnight and mentioned in the blog from 2014-2022.

Unfortunately, the RVillage website we used to create this shut down in Mid-March 2023, so it is no longer interactive. Anyone willing to teach me how to reproduce it in some other way? If so, please leave a comment.
