Political Plastic

Corrugated plastic is the material most commonly used for political campaign signs. It also happens to be a great material for making better use of the limited storage spaces in the camper van. Beth is the maker of the family, be it paper folding or coroplast construction.  These free signs are strong, light, cuttable, and easy to clean. Gather up a few after the next election and see what you can create!

Her first project was a Mug and Glass separator. It cuts down on rattles and protects the mugs and glasses from breakage.

She actually made this for our 2014 Plateau and saved it for our newer Lexor. She only had to move the cutout for the door latch.

Cutlery Dividers and Extra Storage

The drawers under the galley sink in our 2018 Lexor are an unusual shape in order to allow room for the sink drain pipe. Standard silverware storage units didn’t fit so Beth designed and fabricated custom dividers.

The depth of the drawer allowed for two layers.

The bottom layer is for seldom used utensils or secret storage.

And the top is for silverware and knives.

Medicine Cabinet Fall Protection

We found that things fell out of the medicine cabinet when we opened the door after a day of traveling.  Beth made dividers that were a little higher and more solid than the dowel that comes in the cabinet.

Here’s how each shelf protector looks before folding.

On the bottom shelf you can see how the protectors fit over the dowels.
The shelf above has a vertical divider that can slide over to hold things upright.
Those are the coreplast projects thus far. What will you make?
