There are some periodic maintenance tasks easy enough that any owner can do them. James and Stef over on the Fit RV web site recently published a post and video about changing the cabin air filter in their Winnebago Travato. The Travato is a class B camper van based on the Ram ProMaster, the same platform as our Lexor.
Not only did they make a good video, but they have a great site. You should check them out now at these links:
We found the filter in our van right where they said it would be and labeled it here. The screws were found under the numbers 1 and 2.
They used a screwdriver to remove the screws, but I couldn’t find one that fit in my toolbox. A socket wrench with a phillips bit attached worked well for us.
Here’s what our filter looked like after twenty months and 29,000 miles.
Put side-by-side with the new one, it was clearly due for replacement.
Thank you Fit RV!
