Even when we’re not traveling, we still enjoy wildlife. Birds, butterflies, moths,
deer, and raccoons are regular backyard visitors. Here are five quick photos from last spring (2024) that had been sitting in an unpublished post for too long. We captured these using a Nikon D750 with a Nikkor 200-500 f/5.6 lens.

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail on a Peanut Butter Tree. Looked it up and learned that this is the official North Carolina State Butterfly.
We’re working on a follow-up post sharing winter/spring 2025 backyard visitors, along with a post on upgrading the radio in our ProMaster. Which post would be more interesting to you? Please leave a comment to vote for your preference.
