Raised the hook and motored over to Fairview Marina in Rock Creek to meet
an old friend. Stan Sowers and his wife Susan have a beautiful Gozzard named
Galatea here. Stan and I went to high school together, but neither knew the
other was interested in sailing until a mutual friend hooked us up this summer
— 30 years later! Stan gave us tips on good places to visit in the area and
took us all to a park where we could run around and play soccer with Noah and
even took us out to dinner. It was a relaxing and fun day that ended with a
clean boat and clean crew.
