Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum
The Air Zoo is a Harvest Host, where we had reservations for tonight. We checked in and visited the gift shop.
The plan is to visit outdoor exhibits this afternoon and check-out the indoor exhibits tomorrow morning.

We settled into a good spot in the parking lot protected by vintage aircraft.

Walking the outdoor exhibits we found the plane that belongs to the dragon used for today’s introduction photo.

And a couple of other interesting aircraft.

A
tethered biplane model was being flown in the Smoke Circles model field.

The owner took time to show us his plane and explain a little about control line flying. I’m afraid I’d get dizzy turning in circles.

Mother nature supplied some fliers that were refueling on thistle plants.

The museum is adjacent to the Kalamazoo Airport. We were a little concerned about noise overnight, but the planes stopped flying after sunset and we had no problems sleeping through the night.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post to see if we enjoyed the inside exhibits.
