We intentionally didn’t get moving early, so traffic could clear before heading North. The drive was fine through the Massachusetts technology corridor (iRobot, Nvidia, Bose, IBM, etc…) and over the little portion of New Hampshire that has coastline. We stopped at the Maine welcome center and made lunch, then got Noah ready for school with a new backpack and clothes at LL Bean in Freeport. Also found a self-inflating mattress that makes it much more comfortable to sleep in his tent.

The goal was to get to D&H Motors in Gardner by 5 so we could go out to dinner with a gathering of Haskell relatives. We camped out in cousin Randy and Linda’s driveway and they drove us to the gathering. Three of my uncles; Ernie, Albert and Arnold were there with lots of their children and grandchildren. Noah didn’t know that he had so many relatives. There were even two boys his age starting their senior year in high school. One is even looking at RIT or University of Rochester. It would be funny if they went to school at the same college!
Thirty-two Haskell relatives in one place! It was very kind of everyone to take time out to come visit with us.
