We are in Verona, Wisconsin visiting our son and daughter-in-law.
Walking around town we noticed two, then three more “Frankmobiles.” The license plates are entertaining, with this one reading “WNR MOBLE.”
Doing a little research we found that Verona is where potential “Hotdoggers” are interviewed and trained. Job advertisements targeted at graduating college seniors ask “Do you cut the mustard?” Formerly known as Wienermobiles, there are six of the latest iteration of these rolling advertisements. Nose to tail, Frankmobiles are 23 feet long, sit on a converted Chevrolet chassis and are powered with a 300 hp Vortec V8 engine. They even have air conditioning and a couple of solar panels to keep the hot dog cooler. If Oscar-Meyer sprang for a convertible couch, kitchen and hot water system, they might make a good camper dog.
Here are a few more photos from around town for those, like me, that enjoy a bit of silliness.
Update 2023-9-22
They are Weinermobiles once again! Frankly, I’m happy they reverted to the original name.
