Deltaville

Noah found kids in Deltaville. We visited the small
maritime museum with a family from England and ran into all kinds of families
participating in a boat building workshop. Folks build a 12 or 14 foot wooden
rowboat in five days. Lots of children were catching crabs and having fun on a
floating raft in the creek. We’re catching up on laundry and some boat projects
as we didn’t wake up in time to make the 12 hour trip to Solomons, MD today. We
plan to take off early Thursday morning.  The marina here has great
swings, a nice lounge, but the wireless internet isn’t working. There is a line
of sailors waiting to plug in their laptops into the one existing cable. So
much for getting away from it all.

Met some interesting folks on a Caliber 40 named Transylvania.
Heard them on the radio prior to meeting and we guessed they might be Rumanian.
Turned out they came here from Rumania and he now teaches in Columbus, Ohio.
They had an Island Packet 35 just like ours until this year when they bought
the new boat.  Having fun meeting people and seeing the small towns along
the bay.
