Right here it’s kinda’ like our own nature park. There
are snails, chipmunks, mice, hummingbirds and loons which are kind of like
birds in the water. Up here there are alot of old games and stuff. Stuff
that my dad had when he was a boy. There is a four year old girl that lives
across the water and we can kayak to get over there. The only difference
between a canoe and a kayak are the way the oars are. When the oars are
together, it is a kayak,. When they are separate it is a canoe. This place has
got, well its got lots of old fashioned things. Old games an old stove and
barely anything is electric. I wish we lived here

We’ve had a wonderful weekend here at Nana &
Grandpa’s camp. The weather is perfect. We’ve all been swimming and kayaking.
Noah pulled Beth half-way across the lake in the kayak this morning. We’ve visited
with the Conklin’s, eaten way too much ice cream and enjoyed a marshmallow
roast this evening. The moon is reflecting off the lake as I write this using
our laptop which, contrary to Noah’s belief, has plenty of electricity to keep
it powered. My parents bought this little camp 35 years ago. It is where we
learned to sail (in a lanteen rigged sailing canoe) and it continues to be a
great place to get away from the cares of the world.
