Day 2 of a 2 day trip on route 2 from coastal Maine to Northern New York. We start at the NH/VT border, visit Vermont’s capitol city, and take the van on a ferry ride to New York.

Awoke to fog at Riverside Campground and RV Resort in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Vermont was just barely visible across the Connecticut river.

We are seeing lots of Moose warning signs.

Parked on the street in front of the Capitol Building.

Walked around Montpelier and made lunch in the van. Left at 1152.

1304 72,860 79°F 89′ Charlotte, Vermont where we boarded the m/v Governor George D. Aiken. The fare was $23.70 for our 21 foot camper van to cross Lake Champlain.

Even on a rainy day crossing the lake by ferry was fun. An upper passenger deck allowed checking out the solar panels on our roof. Views of the Green and Adirondack mountains weren’t bad either!

Clouds obscure the peak of Whiteface Mountain as we gather for a week of family birthday celebrations. Mom turns 93!
